Our 2016 NRA Florida Candidate Questionnaire Just Arrived: SEND THE NRA YOUR OWN RESPONSE!

For decades, the National Rifle Association has bought and sold politicians on both sides of the aisle in order to advance their extremist agenda and block any and all common sense gun safety measures that would keep our communities safe from gun violence. Shortly after the hate crime massacre at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, the NRA jumped quickly into action by sending all candidates for the Florida legislature their 2016 FLORIDA CANDIDATE QUESTIONNAIRE.

It should come as no surprise that the NRA expects unecquivocal allegiance to their extreme agenda (found within this questionnaire). Legislators who vote against that agenda, which includes changing state law to allow guns on college campuses, can expect the NRA to spend millions against them in negative campaign attack ads.

Carlos Guillermo Smith, a Democrat running for Florida House District 49, has always advocated for common sense gun safety reforms. That includes a ban on military-style assault rifles, a ban on high capacity ammunition, and expanded background checks for all purchases.

Carlos's is ready to take action to keep our neighborhoods safe from gun violence. That's why he will NEVER accept campaign contributions from the NRA. The safety of our families and communities is more important than the sales and profits of gun manufacturers. Period.

TELL THE NRA WHAT YOU THINK

The NRA already knows how Carlos feels about their agenda. Instead of sending in our questionnaire, we'd rather they hear from you! Please take 5 minutes to complete the 2016 NRA QUESTIONNAIRE and let them know how you really feel about their extreme agenda.

Carlos's is ready to take action to keep our neighborhoods safe from gun violence. That's why he will NEVER accept campaign contributions from the NRA! Will you stand with him today?
